08.35 We see a group of soldiers and a Hummer standing about 20 metres past the checkpost.  It is not clear what they are doing.  None of the cars are stopped.

We leave after 10 minutes.  On the road at the entrance to Beit Lid stands an army jeep – again, it is not clear exactly for what purpose.
