Morning

            ‘Azzun ‘Atma:

Four months ago a resident of ‘Azzun ‘Atma approached Roni S. and told her that he has two children who had bone marrow transplants because of a serious illness.  They have to be examined and/or receive treatment every two weeks at Rambam Hospital in Haifa, and also whenever their condition worsens.  They have all the necessary authorizations, but aren’t allowed to go through the crossing at the entrance to the village to meet the volunteer who drives them.  They’re sent to the Eyal crossing or to Qalqilya.  The crowd at these crossings endangers their lives.    For weeks we’ve been trying to arrange that they can cross quickly without having to depend on the good will of the soldiers at the checkpoint.  Today a representative of the brigade and of the DCO waited for them, passed them through and promised that this would be a permanent arrangement.  Let’s hope!
