Afternoon

15:35  Anabta:

Nadim drove right into the checkpoint, made a U-turn and drove out. There wasn't a soldier in sight.

15:45  Jubarra:

There were two long lines of cars with Israeli license plates waiting to go into Israel. Doing holiday shopping in the West Bank.

15:50  Irtach:

When we came up to the entrance only one window was working. Inside and outside the lines were not long. But within 2 minutes the lines outside became a crowd that filled the entire sidewalk up to the turnstile. At that point an inner separation wall opened and a heavily armed macho waved to the Palestinians standing inside to move to the back wall as he escorted another young man into the booth; another window opened. The macho swaggered his way back behind the separation wall. There is a possibility of 16 windows for checking the IDs of the workers. But it's much less expensive if only 2 are open. Some of the workers complained, but by16:05 the whole line was inside the terminal.
