Bethlehem, Etzion DCL, Mon 2.11.09, Afternoon

14:00 PM, Etzion DCL: a few people were sitting in the waiting hall and waiting for relatives that had already entered. It was unusual that this morning we met no one who had actually been summoned early morning by the GSS (General Security Service - Shabak) and compelled to wait for many hours. Has the GSS reconsidered and finally stopped that contemptible procedure? Hopefully so.

A group of Palestinians arrived to receive their magnetic cards and were attended to at once.

14:50  PM, Bethlehem -  Checkpoint 300: two counters were open. No queues. Workers enter and pass through rapidly. Same for a few women. The Security personnel are somewhat hostile to us, possibly their sense of humour.
