Afternoon

Translation: Aliya S.

14:50  - Za'tara:

About 50 cars were waiting in line from the north.

15:00 -  Huwwara:
Vehicles going into Nablus go through without being stopped or checked.
Only cars with Israeli license plates are stopped and questioned.
Two Israeli cars were not allowed to go into the city.

Vehicles leaving the city slowed down and were visually checked. Commercial vehicles were stopped and their contents were checked before they were allowed to go on their way within a few minutes. From time to time a private car was stopped and waited at the side until the ID cards were checked and then went on its way.

15:25  - Beit Furik:
Vehicles entered and exited the checkpoint without being slowed or checked, but only one lane was open for traffic. The other lane was blocked.

 15:45  -  Za'tara:
There was a huge long line of cars as we neared the junction from the direction of Huwwara.
We went through the checkpoint only after 20 minutes in line. Only one post was manned and every one of the vehicles was stopped and checked slowly. Tens of cars were waiting in the rain.
