4.50 – On the way to the CP: Transits full of workers are seen on their way to work, after passing the CP.

5.00 – The parking lot on the Israeli side is packed with about 30 cars and a lot of workers some during morning pray, others buy coffee and all waiting for their pickups to work. The only complains we heard were about the women at the checking point who often shout and treat the workers unrespectfully. Estimated time of wait and passage seemed to be around 1hr.

5.30 – On the Palestinian side of the CP:  A long packed but somehow orderly queue of about 400 workers waits outside the gate. They are quiet but sometimes shout when anyone tries to jump up the line.

5.45 – S., the manager of the CP appears. He is friendly with some of the workers, waves to them and inspects the line. Nothing is said.

A group of 35 workers enters through the gate while another, of similar size enters the checking-lane. The woman instructs the workers as to which of the two lanes they should take.
6.00 We left as the situation seemed under control.
