Morning

8:20  Traffic crosses freely, watched by the soldiers under the canopy’s shade, off to the side.  At one point two came toward us in a line.  We had been standing far from their position (taking advantage of a little shade cast by the sign warning of the checkpoint) – and they had the nerve to complain that we’re disrupting their work.  They wanted to know who we are, and then went back to their position.

8:35  A car was stopped – apparently for a document check, the soldiers waiting to get the green light to release it.  At 8:47 it was released.

Construction of the road making the turnoff to Shave Shomron shorter is again underway.  It’s now covered with asphalt and the tractors are working.

What will happen now?  They shortened it by 10 meters, or maybe they intended to move the junction farther from the checkpoint?

We’ll certainly see the result soon.
