06:20  Azzun.  A few Palestinians go through the fenced corridor.

On site are a female commander, a soldier and an MP who chose not to hide in the computer booth.  All are inspecting, and the line moves quickly.

Economic developments at the checkpoint continue.  In place – some permanent cafes, some that are mobile and some in prefabs .  Accompanied by the commander we enter the fenced gate and see the new falafel stand, the grocery and roomy café operating on the other side of the fence. On the other side – there are two children with coffee pots and one with baskets of figs as sweet as honey. It’s so good there’s a checkpoint.  Is this the economic peace?
