Beit Furiq

9:05 a.m.

2 soldiers were in the ' booth ' and one was in the look-out tower.

As we arrived a car stopped for an inspection and was released immediately.

One of the soldiers, with the rank of sergeant, told us in reply to our question that inspections are random.

According to him Israeli cars are not allowed to cross the roadblock during the week.  On Saturdays only Israeli Arabs are permitted to cross the roadblock.

Huwwara

9:25 a.m.

The pedestrian crossing is closed.

Just a few cars crossed via the car crossing.

There were 3 soldiers.  3 cars on their way to Nablus were inspected but not held up.

One of the soldiers came over to us to ask how we are.
