'Azzun 'Atma, Mon 4.5.09, Afternoon

We arrived at the checkpoint at 1415 and stayed until 1435. 

The checkpoint was quiet. About 15 people went through while we were there and 3 people were refused entry or exit. One of the soldiers explained that their permits were not the right permits. 

When we arrived there were a couple of people waiting but the soldiers were changing shift and would not allow anyone to go through until the previous shift left and the new shift took over.

An Israeli car with two passengers drove by and made the effort to turn back to shout insults at us.
