Sansana (Meitar Crossing)

The checkpoint is located on the Green Line and serves as a border crossing between Israel and the West Bank and is managed by the Crossing-Points Authority of the Defense Ministry. Contains section for goods (aggregates), vehicle checkpoint (intended for blue identity cards, foreign nationals or diplomats and international organizations). Passing of Palestinians is prohibited, except for with entry permits in Israel. They are permitted to cross on foot only. It has a DCO (Coordination and Liaison Center), a Customs unit, live and fledgling supervision, police unit.

In the last year, a loophole has been opend in the fence, not far from the crossing, which is known to all, including the army. There does not appear to be an interest in blocking it, probably as it permits needed palestinian workers without the beaurocratic permits. stalls and parking economy has been created, but incidents of violent abuse by border police have been recorded.
