36 year old Adnan Abdallah from the refugee camp Deheishe has spent 11 Years of his life in 5 different Israeli prisons. More than half of this time he was detained without charges and trial, as an administrative prisoner. While other young men have completed their studies and created a family, he was being mistreated in prison without knowing for what crimes he was charged. He missed the best years of his life. All he wants now, after his release, is to have the opportunity of a new start.

Residents of the northern and central West Bank have to go
through the Qalandia checkpoint to get to El Aksa. On the Fridays during the
Ramadan women over the age of 30 and men over the age of 45 can get permits to go through. Women over the age of 45 and man over 50 do not need permis.
Tens of thousands get to Qalandia hoping to get to the prayers on time,
thousands go through and still thousands are left behind. This is what it looks
like.

Ras Atiya Checkpoint
The checkpoint of Ras Atiya separates the villages in the seam line enclave of Ras A-Tira from the rest of the West Bank. At 6:30 AM a truck with a permit to transport building materials arrives at the checkpoint. The truck is loaded with building stones. The soldiers detain the truck for long hours and eventually force the truck owner to unload the truck at the checkpoint. The truck owner then has to pay for reloading the truck.
Atara/Birzeit checkpoint

The Israeli Ministry of Defense announced that the Atara/Birzeit checkpoint was removed, but in actuality the checkpoint still operates occasionally. On Jul 12 2009 a minibus loaded with passengers arrived at the checkpoint at 3:15 PM, the passengers were allowed to continue on their way only five hours later, during which they suffered a long series of maltreatments by the soldiers.

Food Rationing: An Appeal to Ehud Barak

Through Irtah (Sha'ar Efrayim) checkpoint Palestinians from the West Bank who have work permits to work in Israel pass daily. The checkpoint is operated by a private security company called Modi'in Ezrachi. The company limits the types and amounts of food that the workers passing through the checkpoint can take with them. These limitations are a decision of this company and are not dictated by the GSS (the Shabak) or by the Ministry of Defense.
